The Export of Chinese Silk

        This year, China's Silk Industry need to overcome the negative factor of the continuing appreciation of RMB, lower export tax rebates, production costs rising, the loan-to-crisis of America and the snowstorm, the South floods, the Wenchuan major earthquake. But the whole operation is better than the last year at the same period.

      According to Chinese Customs statistics, the export of China's silk is 4.455 billion dollars from January to June, an increasing of 13.69 percent compared to the same period last year. The commodity export of real silk is 1.684 billion dollars, an increasing of 2.31 percent; chemical silk fiber’s export is 2.77 billion dollars, an increasing of 21.93 percent.
       In June, China's silk export is 817 million dollars, incresed13.6 percent. The merchandise export of real silk is 287 million dollars, down for 1.28 percent; chemical silk fiber’s export is 530 million dollars, increased for 23.69 percent.

        1. Maintains steady growth for Silk export.
        The export for silk is about 13,600 tons for 327 million. It is year-on-year increased for 15.4percent and 15.42 percent respectively. Average unit price is 24.03 dollars / kg, slightly increased by 0.02 percent.

       2. A great breadth increase for silk fabric. Just look at the following data.

      3. Silk products exports declined, mainly due to the decrease in the export of silk clothing. Silk clothing takes the 77.79 percent proportion of all silk products. Please look at the following data

         4. Mainly market for export
         The mainly market for export are The United States, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Pakistan and Brazil.
In addition to the United States and Hong Kong, the other markets have Varying Degrees of growth. The largest export growth is in Brazil, for 53.18 percent; the largest exports falling is the United States , for 13.21 percent.
 
        5, Export provinces and cities
        Export provinces and cities were ranked as Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Guangdong and Shandong.
The top five provinces and cities, with the exception of a slight decline in Shanghai, other provinces and cities have different levels increase, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces respectively increased for 17.3% and 17.72%.
